"THE BODY IS IN THE WORLD LIKE THE HEART IS IN THE ORGANISM"
— Maurice Merleau-Ponty
HeartOpera is the title and motto for my activities in the artistic, pedagogical or scientific field. With these projects, I try to artistically practice a form of process-oriented music-making while focusing on life itself. I strive to scientifically illuminate and to educate through workshops or other teaching formats.
Performances with Groups
Performances with other musicians, be they singers or instrumentalists.
Performances with amateurs from whom the heartbeat is derived — which then controls the live electronics. In addition, there is an improvisation by myself or by various musicians.
Solo Performance
In a solo performance, I work with voice improvisation which produces sounds together with biosignal-controlled live electronics. This creates an interplay of body and voice in the acoustic space which is also being shaped by the acoustic features of the respective space.
Voice improvisation with or without text
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) controlled live electronics
Upon request, the performance will be supplemented by an explanatory lecture
